Our mission at One Sky Community Services is to assist people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries to live as valued and participating members in their communities.

With your help, our clients become stronger, more independent members of society.

We currently have several openings for family hired direct support professionals to assist and support our clients and their families throughout northern Rockingham county.

We serve children, teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injuries.

These positions are typically part time and would be ideal for as a second job, current college student. etc. since most families are flexible about the work schedules.

Most positions involve taking clients out into the community to attend/participate in pre-planned activities such as (but not limited to): swimming, bowling, shopping, music events, sporting events and anything else that is of interest of the particular client and in line with their goals.

The ideal candidate would be creative, patient, outgoing, caring and have excellent judgment. Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus!

Some clients require personal care and wheelchair transfers.

The pay rate for these positions vary, but typically pay a higher wage than most DSP positions elsewhere.

Candidate must submit to and successfully pass a NH Criminal Background Check, driving record check and BEAS (Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services) check.

All staff are also required to have reliable transportation and automobile insurance. These positions typically require the use of the employee’s vehicle to transport the client to various community activities.

A state mandated Tb test is also required at no cost to the candidate after an offer has been made.

The family of an individual in our services is looking for a part-time DSP for weekday help. This DSP would be working with one of the individuals we serve in her community of Nottingham. The hours for this position at 9am-2pm, 4 days per week. No weekends required.

Some activities involve accompanying this individual to the pool for swimming, shopping together, and to other activities in the community.

The ideal DSP has:

-a High school diploma or equivalent

-An outgoing and positive outlook

-A good work ethic (ie is dependable and punctual)

-A strong sense of teamwork

-Ability to “think outside the box”

Candidates are required to undergo a background check in accordance to state regulations, have a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.

The family of a young woman with Spina Bifida in the Seacoast is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Direct Support Provider (DSP). Having recently transitioned from High School, at first this support will include exploring the community and trying new activities in order to set up a new and fulfilling dail yroutine. When a viable and enjoyable routine has been established the DSP will continue to support the client by encouraging interactions within the community and promoting independence.

Candidate for this position must be flexible, king, and patient (yet firm). Candidate must havea valid driver’s license and be willing to undergo a Criminal and Driving background check.

Transportation for this position will be in the client’s handicap accessible van.

This is a full-time, 35hrs/week position which is eligible for benefits including health insurance, vacation time, and holiday pay. The work week is Monday-Friday.
