Promoting Quality at One Sky
Everyone who works at One Sky contributes to the high quality of our services and supports. Throughout our organization, dedicated employees with years of experience understand their roles, mentor new staff, and strive to provide excellent customer service.
The work of many of our employees, including service coordination, family support, community services management, nursing, complaint investigation, and quality improvement, is specifically designed to closely monitor the quality of services and to provide support to solve problems when they arise. Many of our staff actively participate in statewide groups addressing larger issues that need systems solutions.
Our management team and other supervisors meet regularly with staff and with each other to plan for the future, as well as respond to the ever-changing challenges of the environment in which we operate. The Board of Directors is well informed and ultimately oversees many aspects of the operation of One Sky.
Many of our services are provided through subcontracted provider agencies that also have quality improvement processes built into their operations. Individuals and families influence quality when they exercise their choice over what agency to work with for services.
We have formal processes to seek input on a regular basis from families, individuals we serve, employees, and other agencies we work with. This information is summarized and reviewed at several levels, including the Board of Directors. State employees from the NH Bureau of Developmental Services participate in the gathering, presentation and review of some of this information annually, as well as in an extensive review process called "Redesignation" that takes place every five years.
Conscious awareness of quality is embedded throughout One Sky.
