Our private non-profit organization serves 24 cities and towns in the seacoast region of New Hampshire. We’re part of a statewide system that provides and arranges supports for children, adults and their families. Our staff of 200 works to assist people in northern Rockingham County to reach their full potential, by providing service coordination and family support services. Through our Futures programs we provide trusted direct supports for high school transition, education, employment, residential and community services. Further program choices are available from 17 agencies that subcontract with One Sky.

We are accepting application for a Direct Support Professional for a full and part time positions working at both of our local group homes (Newmarket and North Hampton, NH).

The DSP will provide assistance to the individuals in the home and community to develop and enhance basic living skills, personal decision making, social skills, safety skills, a healthy lifestyle including good nutrition, and rights and responsibilities as citizens.

Some of the essential job functions are (additional duties will be explained during interview process):

  • Ensure health & safety of individuals
  • Implement Individual Service Agreements
  • Provide personal care & hygiene
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Provide administrative duties
  • Attend staff development training as scheduled


Education Requirements: High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred. LNA background preferred, but not required.

Skills Required: Experience with tube feeding, behavioral challenges, CPI or Mandt training helpful.

Other Requirements: Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle, proof of auto insurance, satisfactory criminal background check, driving record check. Tb test required within 30 days of hire.

Pay is DOE – range is $12-$13.00/hr with additional hourly stipend for those who have successfully completed the Direct Support Professional certification course.


GROUP HOME DSPs NEEDED – ON CALL PER DIEM –  North Hampton & Newmarket

Work with people with physical disabilities and behavioral challenges. Seeking someone experienced with personal care for individuals with quadriplegia, using Hoyer lift, wheelchair lift and tie downs in a handicapped van, communication devices and standers.

One Sky Community Services, a non-profit agency committed to community integration, growth and independence of people with developmental disabilities, seeks a talented primary contact specialist to greet visitors and callers at our busy Portsmouth office.

The Front Desk Coordinator manages an automated multi-line phone system, screening and referring calls, taking and distributing messages to staff through voice mail or e-mail. This position is also responsible for processing both incoming and outgoing mail, ordering office supplies, filing and typing for various departments.  Excellent listening and verbal communication skills are required for all work tasks. The Front Desk Coordinator is expected to demonstrate patience in understanding the spoken communications of clients and strive to assist clients in connecting with the appropriate staff member.

This position requires good organizational and prioritization skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential for performance of all tasks. The maintenance of confidential information is an essential responsibility of this position. Basic to intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills are required. Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

In recognition of One Sky’s need to strengthen employee computer skills, a software application support specialist is needed to assist with the implementation and ongoing expansion of the various software applications the agency is currently using and new software applications it plans to implement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Configure and implement application features within the agency
  • Test and provide final QA before a new feature is ready to go live
  •  Provide training to employees in the use of applications
  • Facilitate the software component of employee new hire orientations
  • Provide end user support and technical issue resolution
  • Provide implementation services using standardized processes, tools and deliverables to implement electronic solutions
  • Provide timely and accurate input on project status

The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will work with the Controller and other members of the organization to manage the financial strength of and minimize the financial risks to the organization. The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist is the individual within the organization responsible for reviewing the completeness of information required to request and obtain a Prior Authorization (PA) for all Medicaid eligible services, requesting the PA and following up on PA approvals. The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will assure all pre-authorizations have been approved with the proper procedure code prior to service being rendered.

The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will accurately invoice for all non-Medicaid eligible services delivered by One Sky Community Services and One Sky Futures on a timely basis. Prepare all appropriate journal entries. Process and apply all cash receipts to the appropriate customer and general ledger accounts.

The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage non-Medicaid accounts receivable and proactively ensure that ALL issues are resolved and payments are received in a timely basis. They will also collect delinquent accounts by recommending payment arrangements with clients to Controller; monitor payments; follow up with clients when payment lapses occur; prepare, review and send client statements.

The ideal candidate for the Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist would possess prior Medicaid Billing Knowledge/Experience and knowledge of medical billing/collection practices. Two or more years’ experience with computerized invoicing and accounts receivable. Prior Medicaid billing knowledge a big plus; also prior work experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) financial management and FRx reporting system a big plus.

The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist is required to have strong Microsoft Excel skills . Skills in Microsoft Outlook, Access, and Word will also be expected.

An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related profession is desirable. Four years experience may be considered as a substitute for educational requirements.

This is a part time position that ranges 20-25 hours per week.

A Portsmouth, NH family is seeking someone to assist in the care of their 12 year old son with autism. Duties would include assisting in activities of daily life such as: bathing, toileting, tooth brushing, cleaning his room, cooking/baking, practicing social skills in the community, and from time to time going to the pool to practice swimming – with flotation devices.

The benefits of this position are the joy of helping a loving, kind, young boy with autism learn everyday skills. Experience working with individuals with autism is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.

A family in Greenland, NH is looking for someone to provide a variety of daily responsibilities and activities with and for our 22 year old daughter with developmental disabilities.  Position responsibilities include some meal prep, job support, transportation, schedule coordination and engaging in peer social and/or community activities.  Activities vary per day and per week.  Our daughter is kind hearted and pretty consistently upbeat.  She loves singing to the radio, following baseball stats, swimming, cooking, crafts and enjoys staying busy.  We are looking for someone who can interact with her as the young adult she is developmentally, while supporting her navigating through her week, including her work.

Hourly wage is $12-14/hr.  Schedule is M-Thurs in the range of 7:30a-3:30p for a total of 23-26 hrs/week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and compassionate person to join a young woman from Nottingham NH who is affected by a developmental disability. You will be providing one-on-one home and community-based supports. You must be willing to explore opportunities wherever they may lead, enjoy meeting new people, and believe people with disabilities can and should lead full happy lives.

This position requires a high school degree or equivalent. The ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently as documentation is required. All applicants must have a valid NH driver’s license, auto insurance and submit to a criminal record, Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services and motor vehicle check.

The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work with minimal supervision. It would be beneficial to have experience providing direct support and be able to adapt to changing environments. Transportation is required for this program and will include travel throughout the surrounding areas. This is a 20 hour per week program Monday thru Friday. Scheduling has potential to be flexible but this young woman needs to be driven to work by 4pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Rate of pay will depend on experience.

Duties include picking this young man up from school and taking him to pre-planned after school activities 9-15 hours per week, 3 hours per day.

Experience with behavioral issues preferred.  Client’s interests include going to the gym, fishing and being outdoors.
Ideally, looking for a positive male role model who can provide positive behavior protocols.
Hourly wage is $13/hour plus mileage.

Experience preferred though willing to train the right person for this 20 hour per week position.  Successful candidate will be allowed to choose 20 hours per week from the following days/times: Monday-Thursday 3p-7:30p, Friday 1p-8p and/or Saturday 12p-8p.  Hours worked per week is not to exceed 20.

Hourly rate is $15.00/hr and this position requires employer paid background checks including criminal, driving and BEAS.  Employer paid Tb test required as well as a good driving record with reliable automobile and current insurance.

Meetings are held from 5-7 in the evening, on the second Monday of the month,10 times a year (light supper served) at our Portsmouth office. We should have twelve members on our Board. One Sky Community Services is a New Hampshire private not-for-profit corporation, one of ten Area Agencies designated by the state for the purposes of planning, creating and maintaining a comprehensive service delivery system intended to maximize the community integration, growth and independence of people with developmental disabilities in the 24 cities and towns of upper Rockingham County. We provide some services directly, and also provide funding to agencies such as the Richie McFarland Children’s Center, Easter Seals, Great Bay Services, and Living Innovations.
