DIRECT SUPPORT STAFF
Family Directed Services
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, creative, and compassionate person to join a young woman from Deerfield NH who is affected by a developmental disability. You will provide one-on-one home and community-based supports and personal care. You must be willing to explore opportunities wherever they lead, enjoy meeting new people, and believe people with disabilities can and should lead full happy lives. You need effective, sensitive communication skills to build rapport and channels of communication with this young woman, who is non–verbal. You will need to actively participate in aqua therapy and take initiative in facilitating community involvement and integration.
The position requires a high school degree or equivalent, the ability to lift 50+ pounds in order to lift and transfer the individual to and from her wheelchair and other equipment; the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently. All applicants must have a valid NH driver's license, auto insurance and submit to a criminal record check, Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services and motor vehicle check.
The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work with minimal supervision, have experience providing direct support or personal care, be able to adapt to changing environments, and be water certified or willing to become certified immediately. Transportation during services will be in family-owned minivan and will include travel throughout the surrounding areas from Concord to the Seacoast. This is a part -time position T & Th 8am to 4pm - 16 hours a week . Rate of pay will depend on experience.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
One Sky Futures' community-based Day and Vocational Services seek a Direct Support Professional to work with a young man from Raymond for 30 hours a week. Hours approximately 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The right applicant will be a positive role model, able to motivate, with interest in or familiar with automotive, welding, truck, and auto body work. Must have reliable transportation and provide proof of auto insurance upon hire. TB test, driver and criminal background checks required. Rate of pay will depend on experience. We offer generous mileage reimbursement.

REHABILITATIVE ASSISTANT
One Sky’s community-based School Transition Program is looking for a rehabilitative assistant to work afternoons with a few young women in the Fremont, Kingston, and Raymond area. The right applicant must have two years of college. Certified Para-Professional or certified Direct Service Professional preferred. The hours and locations we are looking to fill are as follows: 12—2:30 M-F Kingston/Fremont, 2:30—6 T/Th Raymond, 3—6 W Raymond. Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. TB test, driver and criminal background checks required. Generous mileage reimbursement rate; hourly rate is contingent on experience.

SUPPORTIVE ROOMMATE
Free rent and a taxable $500/month stipend to provide live-in support to a woman with a mild disability in her apartment in Newmarket. Supportive Roommate would be a companion, assist with meal planning and preparation, share meals, assist with planning and organization and maintain the smoke-free apartment together. The Supportive Roommate is expected to be at the apartment 5 nights a week including 3 weekends a month. No personal care needed. Supportive Roommate would contract for a year to do 15 hours a week of support a week. Roommate would need vehicle, clean driver's license and criminal record check. Roommate should have another source of income. This opportunity is available in January 2012.

HOME PROVIDERS
Home Providers needed for individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with aspects of daily living such as shopping, exercise and cooking. Compensation is in the form of a monthly stipend. Minimum monthly documentation required.
